What Data Do We Collect and Use?

We collect and use your information below to provide our Services and to measure and improve them over time. We do not disclose your private personal information except in the limited circumstances described within this policy.

• Basic Account Information

When you create a ReceiptMate account, you provide some personal information, such as your name, email address, and password. Your information is listed in your profile section.

• Card Data

To properly be able to use ReceiptMate, you have to provide your loyalty card customer number. This card data is converted into the respective barcode, and then used by you within the scope of the app. If you use ReceiptMate, we collect and save how you use the card (i.e. card used, time, number of points).

• Receipt Data

Within the scope of ReceiptMate, you may scan or manually add receipts information into the app. This may include the merchant name, date, total amount, currency, payment method, a category, notes, a picture, a bar code, and any other relevant information. By voluntarily providing us this information, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of that information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

• Links

ReceiptMate may keep track of how you interact with external links through the app, such as advertisings. We may collect and save the respective point status, shared transactions or other offers provided to you. We do this to help improve our Services, to provide more relevant content, and to be able to aggregate click statistics such as how many times a particular link was clicked on.

• Additional Information

You may also share with us other personal information such as your location, picture and video to personalize your account. We may use this information to customize the content we show you.

Collection of Technical Information (Log Data)

When you use ReceiptMate, we may receive information such as the Internet Protocol (IP) address and other device-related information such as the make and model of your device, its operating system, mobile device identification number (IMEI), Media Access Control (MAC) address, geo-location (if enabled on your device), Integrated Circuit Card Identifier (ICCID), which identifies your SIM card, information about its screen size, and the date and time of your use. We use this information to facilitate the operation of our app, to better understand the app usage, for our internal analytics and reporting, and to monitor and improve ReceiptMate.

Third-Parties

ReceiptMate uses a variety of third-party services, such as Firebase Analytics, which is designed to record how users interact with an app. Events are recorded such as the initial opening of the app, uninstallation, update, crash or frequency of use of the app.

Other third-party partners may also be used, such as AdMob. They may share information with us, like a browser cookie ID, website URL visited, mobile device ID, or cryptographic hash of a common account identifier (such as an email address), to help us measure and tailor ads.
